Emergency Communications Support is a non profit organization that
is dedicated to improving the interoperability of
the communications between different agencies,
equipment, and protocol. It not only utilizes
cutting edge technology, but also takes into
account the practical aspects of implementation.
ECS demonstrates the
linking of communications for any agency or organization regardless of size or type of equipment. The 40' Silver Eagle Bus was set up to allow communications personnel to get hands on experience with a variety of systems. This allows agencies and individuals to assess their own needs for backup or emergency communications. The primary designer for the
bus was Bill Gabour, President of Insync Electronics Corporation but input has come from many expert emergency communicators in many branches of government, military and the private sector.
The ECS
communications bus is constantly being updated and modified as our onboard R&D lab produces newer technologies and better methods to link radios, computers and satellite technologies. We firmly believe that the answer to true interoperability does not always require the latest and most expensive equipment. It requires a modest amount of technology to link the equipment but also the knowledge of practical interaction with other communicators and agencies. We hope to make both tasks easier for all involved.
